Spring 2026 On-Line Registration Information

We are excited for the Spring season of baseball at Winthrop Park!

For Spring 2026, the player's age on April 30, 2026 is the player's age for the program. Players are expected to turn 11 by May 1, 2026 but cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2026.

Please email us at winthroppark1112@gmail.com prior to registering a player that is younger than the age criteria above as we will accept players (as long as they turn 10 by May 1, 2026) following a discussion with the President or Vice-President of Winthrop Park Baseball.

Evaluations:

All registered players will be required to participate in evaluations, scheduled for Saturday, January 24th at 12:30pm and 3:00pm at Winthrop Park.

You will receive an email that will provide your evaluation time after you have successfully completed the registration process.

For 12:30pm evaluations, please arrive between noon and 12:15pm so we can begin evaluations at 12:30pm.

For 3:00pm evaluations, please arrive between 2:30pm and 2:45pm so we can begin evaluations at 3:00pm.

What to Bring to Evaluations:

  • Players should wear baseball attire and dress in accordance with the weather.
  • Players must wear hard rubber cleats or aggressive soled tennis shoes (no metal cleats allowed).
  • Players should bring a glove, bat and batting helmet (bats and batting helmets will be available if needed).
  • Players that are interested in catching should bring their own gear (if they have their own gear).

Day of Evaluations:

  1. Check in at the Concession Stand and provide a copy of your child's birth certificate (or you can email to winthroppark1112@gmail.com) if not provided during the Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 season.
  2. At check-in you will receive your player's numbered bib. The bib will be pinned to the front of the player's shirt.
  3. Each player (no parents please) will bring their baseball equipment to the 1st or 3rd base dugout (will be advised at check-in) and players should go on the field for warm-up.
  4. Players will be evaluated in a rotation for fielding, hitting and base running.
  5. Evaluations for pitchers and catchers are optional and will be held at the completion of evaluations. Players that are interested/have experience in playing the positions of pitcher or catcher are encouraged to participate.

Player evaluations enable coaches/managers to select players where they will have the best chance of success and fun and helps us form evenly balanced, competitive teams.

The coaches selection draft is scheduled to take place shortly after evaluations. Coaches will be reaching out to all parents by Monday, January 26th to introduce themselves and to provide a practice schedule. Game schedules will be available approximately two weeks prior to the start of the season.

Coaches/Assistant Coaches:

We anticipate needing coaches for the upcoming season! Please indicate on the registration form if you are interested. A Prospective Coaches Meeting will be held (and coaching assignments determined) prior to evaluations. Prospective coaches who have expressed an interest to coach will be invited to the meeting.

Contact winthroppark1112@gmail.com if you have any questions.
